Ok, so you have a high-profile position; well known in the mobile wireless industry; highly respected for your SME knowledge; have stock options, exceed $250k a year; one of the top producers in closing deals and still something is not quite fulfilling your career goals. It may be that currently making Equity Partner and getting into the real dough and prestige is out of the question. Read further on.
High visibility, nice benefits, higher income opportunity, an employer with a 10+ year positive cash flow; and since you have a proven track record in Business Development and closing deals with carrier/operator clients, you can make Partner in a short time. If you have an MSEE or similar with MBA and Tier 1 consulting firm experience working with wireless carriers, let’s discuss one of these opportunities.
The candidates I seek are experts in Radio Access Networks cellular infrastructure. In addition, you are an expert in one of the following: IP Multimedia Subsystems (Fixed Mobile Convergence), Mobile Streaming Video Platforms, or RAN systems architecture road mapping.
I am looking for the rainmakers – the candidates who can sign more deals with existing carriers and developing relationships with new carrier clients resulting in closing new deals. And for that, you will be VERY WELL compensated – better than any other firm in the industry. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated expertise in leading client engagements in Project Management ranging from pure strategy and thought leadership to content-led engineering design/development program management to execution management by pulling together and driving cross-functional client teams to deliver new products and programs; ……AND in leading presentations, negotiations, and closing clients on consulting contracts, which is the business development side.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience in Consulting:: 5+ years as a VP, Director, or Sr. level Consultant for a Tier 1 executive management consulting firm.
2. Experience in Mobile/Wireless Systems Infrastructure Design : 5+ years working for a cellular infrastructure vendor in Product Management and/or Systems Design and/or Software Engineering – OR – a combo of RAN and having managed a carrier network on the engineering or C-level side. You MUST be an SME in IMS/FMC, mobile Video Streaming platforms development, or WiMAX Ran systems design.
3. Education and Languages: Master/Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, plus MBA. Expert read/write English, fluency in a few EU languages a plus!
4. Travel, Citizenship, and Passports: Must be US citizen or possess green card, or CURRENT H1-B, or Canadian citizen. Will travel in North America and Europe extensively as a Road Warrior as in 70%+ servicing mobile operator clients and leading engagements within North America (yes you are home every weekend). This position will allow you to live anywhere in North America. Company provides excellent compensation (base/bonuses), PPO benefits (dental, medical, life, disability), stock options, etc.
If your consulting experience is as a Director/VP for Professional Services for an infrastructure vendor or software outsourcing/software products vendor, or you are part of a 1-10 person consulting firm, you do NOT qualify. You MUST have significant experience with a Tier 1 management consulting firm focusing your role on wireless operator clients.
