Engineering Specialist - DER (Mechanical, Systems & Equipment)
Duration: Direct-hire
Pay: Competitive salary based on experience
Hours: Full-time
Educational Requirements: Engineering degree a plus
Description: Great opportunity with this leading business jet manufacture as Mechanical DER Engineering Specialist. Providing data approval for aircraft Systems and Mechanical installations. Coordinate requirements for approval with Engineering & Quality Control and other certification related activities required. Very competitive salary, great location and benefits. Responsibilities:
1.) Control certification data & projects
2.) Determine applicable FARs .
3.) Conduct FAR compliance inspections
4.) Determine compliance with FARs
5.) Coordinate development of flight test programs.
6.) Coordinate with Engineering, Flight Test, & Quality Control personnel.
7.) Determine required testing.
8.) Plan and/or conduct testing.
9.) Prepare/approve certification documents.
10.) Interface with FAA personnel as applicable.
11.) Review engineering documents

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
1.) DER delegation in Mechanical, Systems & Equipment. 2.) Thorough working knowledge of FARs . 4.) Minimum of 1 year of experience in direct contact with the FAA. 5.) Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible engineering experience in projects related to mechanical systems & equipment. (Education at a college or university of recognized standing may be substituted for up to 4 years of the experience requirement.)
