Controller – Agricultural Operations
Duration: Direct-hire
Pay: Starts at $80K and up (negotiable depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; CPA a plus
Description: Are you looking to leverage your accounting and management skills and experience within the Agricultural Industry into an exciting career opportunity? Trilogy Personnel is assisting our client in locating a Controller for a large agricultural operation located in eastern Louisiana . The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the accounting systems and financial reporting of a large farming operation producing Rice, Wheat, Soybeans, Cotton and more.
Duties:
1.) Development and implementation of effective accounting strategies, policies and procedures
2.) Preparation and reporting of internal and external financial records and analysis
3.) Oversee daily operations and administrative functions for the Accounting Department
4.) Establishing and maintaining effective communication both internally and with external parties
Requirements include:
1.) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting; CPA a plus
2.) Thorough knowledge of GAAP and regulatory accounting specifically in the Agriculture Industry
3.) Five years of direct accounting experience plus a minimum of three years of supervisory experience
4.) Strong written and oral communication skills
