GIS Technician (2 opportunities)
Duration: Direct Hire
Pay: $50-75K or negotiable depending on experience
Hours: Full-time
Educational Requirements: Degree from technical or trade school
Description: National company is conducting interviews for the role of GIS Technician. They currently have 2 openings: 1 located in Conway, AR and one in Houston, TX. Candidate will support the Asset and Corporate GIS teams by producing maps, drawings and documentation for design, construction and exploration purposes.
Additional responsibilities:
1.) Utilize aerial photos, remote sensing and acquired data to produce maps for presentations and analysis
2.) Maintain the GIS database and utilize GIS/CAD software to produce maps, drawings, etc. of existing and newly proposed facilities
3.) Identify/collect spatial data while continuously documenting workflow processes and data attributes

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
1.) Minimum of 3 years' experience as a GIS Technician or related position
2.) At least 4-10 years' experience with GIS drafting in the oil and gas industry plus experience utilizing ESRI Desktop, AutoCad, ArcInfo, ArcSDE, AutoDesk Map 3D, and Delorme X-Map 5.0 in the drafting and mapping process
4.) High level of proficiency in utilizing Excel, Word and PowerPoint (should also have basic Access skills with exposure to applications such as SQL or Oracle)
5.) Technically-inclined individual with a strong graphic design and hardware/software troubleshooting background
6.) Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to function independently
