As the RTC Functional Team Lead, you will provide day-to-day leadership of the Global SAP Competency Centre's Requisition-To-Check (RTC) team for the provision of SAP solutions and associated services to Global and Regional LS&CO. business units. You will Execute SAP strategies for the implementation, expansion, development, maintenance and support of the SAP functional environment in the RTC area. You will also Manage and mitigate the risk within the OTC functional area and ensure implementation of corrective action.
Responsibilities include:
-Provide day-to-day leadership of the Global SAP Competency Centre's Requisition-To-Check (RTC) team for the provision of SAP solutions and associated services to Global and Regional LS&CO. business units. -Execute SAP strategies for the implementation, expansion, development, maintenance and support of the SAP functional environment in the RTC area. -Manage and mitigate the risk within the RTC functional area and ensure implementation of corrective action. -Provide timely and effective Level 3 production support to SAP users throughout LS&CO. -Contribute to the development and maintenance of global Functional SAP standards and monitoring of adherence to these by any regional SAP support hubs as well as by 3rd parties engaged to perform SAP related activities. -Leverage best practices in SAP solution and service delivery. -Ensure that SAP Functional activities (e.g. configuration) maximize the use and adoption of standard SAP solutions and minimize the ongoing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for maintenance and upgrade of the SAP solution. -Contribute to the provision of a robust, reliable and effective SAP system for LS&CO. users as measured by established service levels. -Risk to the SAP functional area has been managed and mitigated. -Promote best practice adoption of SAP functionality in the RTC area and skills development to maximize its use. -Develops key relationships with SAP Competency Center team and with the business related to the RTC functional area.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
-Will lead the RTC team in the US as well as managing 3rd party resources anticipated to be offshore (e.g. India) -Will work collaboratively with IT staff, especially via the Regional SAP Support Hubs, across the 3 Regions. -Number of direct reports - 1 at the end of 2007 rising to 3+ at the end of 2009 with further staff provided by a 3rd party arrangement (offshore) -Will lead the RTC SAP Functional team with the following key responsibilities: -Monitor, maintain and support the SAP applications. -Plan and monitor the RTC teams' workload and provide day-to-day direction to team members. -Configure and enhance the use of the SAP application in the RTC functional area through projects and minor enhancements in response to business needs. -Plan and execute SAP projects that extend the functional or geographic use of the system in support of the business processes. -Provide SAP best practice guidance and solutions to LS&CO.
Travel Requirements: This Global position is based in San Francisco, but will require occasional travel to Westlake, TX as well as travel to the Regions. Travel is variable, but may be increased in the short-term due to the current portfolio of implementations which includes rolling-out Europe in 2008, and potentially Asia after that.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
-Education: BS or BA Degree required. -Experience: -A minimum of 10 years IT experience and at least 7 years SAP experience which should include; multiple implementation projects and exposure to a SAP support environment. -At least 3 years experience as a functional team lead covering the whole RTC area. SAP AFS experience is preferred as is experience in a global forum. SAP Certification and SAP ECC experience are preferred. -Implementation with a single instance approach is also preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Detailed knowledge of all the major business processes and associated functionality in Requisition-To-Check area; includes PP, MM, WM and an understanding of AP as it relates to purchasing. -Experience with a global sourcing solution. -Knowledge of the SAP suite of applications including APO. -Ability to understand and explain to others the cross-functional and global implications of business process decisions and their implementation in a global SAP environment. -Ability to establish and maintain credibility with the business functional resources they will work with. -Ability to lead diverse teams including management of 3rd party resources in remote locations. -Strong leader and developer of staff. -Strong written and oral communication skills and an open communication style. -Strong analytical and problem solving skills. -Project management experience. -Ability to deal with ambiguity, multiple priorities, stretching goals and to lead a team of resources to do the same. -Ability to work in a global organization respecting regional and local cultural and organizational differences.
