In this position, you will provide paralegal and consulting services associated with the Company’s North American business. Working with minimal supervision, you will use your legal and/or business expertise in areas such as marketing programs, licensing, sales and distribution practices and customs compliance programs, to manage legal risk while achieving business objectives. Your responsibilities will include consulting with customers to interpret company policies & programs to ensure that business practices are in compliance with policy and legal requirements; assisting with review, drafting and finalization of contracts; researching and drafting summaries of facts for attorneys including statement of issues, relevant law, opinion, and conclusion; and reviewing proposed business initiatives for content and language, assessing compliance and identifying potential legal risks.
Job Requirements:
The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, and a paralegal certificate and 3+ years of paralegal experience are preferred. The right candidate will have excellent verbal & written communication skills, including the ability to gather and present information effectively. Exceptional analytical & practical problem solving abilities with strong task planning & organization skills are essential. We seek a candidate who demonstrates sound judgment in making decisions with limited supervision, and who has strong interpersonal, consulting, negotiation, and influencing skills.
