As a collaborative member of our Strategy team, this position serves as an analytical expert providing focused modeling and analysis to support decisions on strategy based on competitive analysis and the external perspective. In addition, the position is responsible for providing direct staff support to the Strategy team, providing complex business analysis that delivers comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, competition, and profitability levers.
The purpose of this position is to lead/ support, structure and deliver integrated analyses based on strong external marketplace and operational/business understanding to guide strategic decisions that drive profitable growth for LS&CO. This position is a collaborative member of the Strategy team and reports directly to the Director of Strategy for the Levi’s business unit. The position works closely with the Levi’s business unit, with frequent interaction with the brand President.
The key responsibilities and accountabilities for this position are: 1) Act as ongoing thought partner and provide strategic planning and decision-making support to Director of Strategy, the brand leadership team and the Strategy team leaders through rigorous, integrated analyses of external marketplace dynamics and internal/business profitability levers (30%); 2) Assist Director of Strategy and brand leadership team with the development and execution of the Strategic Business process. (30%); 3) Lead or participate in select strategic & operational projects for Levi’s and LS&Co. (30%); and 4) Work collaboratively with Strategy Group and business unit teams to ensure effective leverage of insights/analyses and gain alignment against strategic objectives to enhance brand equity and maximize LS&Co. profitability (10%).
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate for this position will have a BS in a discipline relevant to the job description and 2-3 years of experience from top tier management consulting firm or Investment Bank. MBA preferred for Senior Analyst position. Candidates must have knowledge, skills and abilities in the following areas: exceptional accounting and analytical expertise/skills; strong project management skills; strong communication and influence skills; ability to communicate at all levels, across multiple functions and drive participation and partnership; ability to simplify complex analysis that delivers comprehensive understanding; computer literacy; ability to create complex analysis using excel, word, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.; strategic orientation; ability to function as catalyst and resource for establishing strategic direction; initiative; ability to anticipate and prepare for specific opportunities or problems that may not be obvious to others; action oriented ability to create opportunities or avoid future problems; flexibility; and the ability to adapt to meet new requirements.
