Material Buyer
Duration: Direct hire
Pay: $75-85K range
Hours: Full-time
Educational Requirements: Associate's or Technical degree required; Bachelor's in Accounting or Business a plus
Description: Leading U.S. specialty chemical manufacturer is currently conducting interviews for the role of Material Buyer. This exciting opportunity involves locating raw material suppliers, negotiating contracts, interacting with Logistics and making spot purchases as needed. Will also generate new project ideas and cost saving intiatives.
Requirements:
1.) Associate's or Technical degree required; Bachelor's in Accounting, Business or related a big plus
2.) Excellent business networking abilities with a global and multicultural focus
3.) At least 4 years of previous purchasing, logistics, marketing, sales, technical or customer service experience
4.) Good computer skills in business software such as MS Office Suite
5.) Ability to thrive in an exciting, fast-paced and high-pressure work environment
6.) Proven track record of developing negotiation strategies and successfully negotiating contracts
