Job Description:
The requirements for this position are very stringent, but if you have the right background and are an expert on the technical side (design, programming, coding) of mobile streaming video, the compensation will exceed $300k.
In this role, you will lead client engagements in Project Management ranging from pure technical mobile platforms and streaming video applications road mapping to mobile content servers SDP infrastructure strategy to mobile content/mobile multimedia on-deck and off-deck strategies to thought leadership to content-led engineering design/development program management to execution management. These engagements also include pulling together and driving cross-functional client teams to deliver new products and programs.
The driver is your proven track record in business development and technical project management in executive consulting to CXOs and VPs within the wireless carriers, broadband carriers, and mobile Internet providers.
Job Requirements:
Have you experience as a software engineer developing mobile content delivery platforms plus having architected Service Delivery Platforms and deployment of mobile content to wireless carrier networks.
You career has progressed to a senior role in engineering (Director of Software Engineering or Sr. Manager Product Management) or Director Technical Product Marketing with a dynamic mobile streaming video platform vendor (Real Networks, MobiTV, Qualcomm, Adobe, Harmonic, Packet Video, etc.) – AND - you also have at least 2-3 years experience as an executive management consultant with a Tier 1 consulting firm (BAIN, McKinsey, ADL, PWC, Deloitte, etc.) focusing on developing streaming video platforms and mobile entertainment platforms. If you have this ideal background, this opportunity is very rewarding in the people you will work with and has superior compensation.
First, you must live within 1 hour driving distance if major airport within continental USA or Canada. Second, MUST be willing to travel extensively, as in 80% minimum. Third, you MUST be a US citizen, have green card, or Canadian citizen eligible for TN1 visa. There are NO H1B sponsoring visas available until 2009, so don’t ask.
The ideal candidate has a MSCS or MSEE with top-school business MBA and experience in multi-functional technical roles with the types of companies mentioned above. You must be a road warrior in meeting with and working with clients worldwide. You are astute at influencing executive level decision-makers involved in business, operations, and technical directives because your presence is that of a Subject Matter Expert in streaming video platforms, mobile content delivery systems, and cellular network infrastructure.
You are an expert in back-end Service Delivery Platforms as well as front-end mobile content and streaming video applications; C. C++, Java (J2EE, JBOSS, Beans), Ruby on Rails, AJAX, Web Logic, XML, SOAP, Perl, VB, IP, SIP, on-deck and off-deck content for mobile carriers, DRM, carrier billing systems, etc. Must be very analytical and have good technical and operational understanding of strategic planning, product development, product launch, and operational issues of providing mobile content under different platforms for cellular carriers.
