Job Description:
The Field Solutions Engineer (FSE) is the technical counterpoint to the Account Executive and the interface and focus for the technical sales organization. The FSE position is a technical field sales position that works in cooperation with the sales organization to promote enterprise sales, increase sales margin and increase the win rate of enterprise class opportunities.
Essential Functions: Conducts joint sales calls with the field sales team covering CDW-G accounts. Promotes, develops and facilitates solution opportunities and solution sales. Develops and performs trainings for the Sales team on how to identify solution opportunities. Develops and grows vendor relationships in strategic areas. Technical resource for both the inside and field Account Managers. Engages vendors for specialized programs and pricing. Delivers formal presentations and/or demonstrations of enterprise product offerings Attends regular partner trainings
Additional Responsibilities: Performs conference calls to the customer. Creates network diagrams. Verifies accuracy of solutions. Attends on-site customer meetings. Obtains certifications in relevant areas of technology. Works closely with CDWs specialty sales teams. Follows up with Account Team, Vendors and Customers.
Job Requirements:
At least 18 months of technical sales or technical services experience.
Bachelors Degree preferred.
Strong technical skills in two or more divergent areas of technology with a
general understanding of three additional technology areas.
Two or more years of professional experience in consulting or solutions sales.
Strong problem solving skills.
Excellent conversational, presentation, and written communication skills.
Ability to travel extensively is a must.
