As a Retail District Manager for the New York Area, you will lead assigned retail stores to profitable growth, and build brand equity through the delivery of an exceptional buying experience. We’ll look to you to ensure financial objectives are met and operational, merchandising and customer services disciplines are in place that support the rapid expansion of our retail network. Critical to the role is the ability to develop, coach, train and motivate a high performing team of Store Managers to ensure operational and customer service standards are maintained, and that sales and performance goals are met or exceeded. Among your operational responsibilities, you will identify trends, evaluate processes and recommend programs that drive sales; ensure effective administration of loss prevention, inventory control, safety & security programs; ensure proper control of company assets & merchandise; and oversee physical inventory preparation & counts. Your merchandising accountabilities will include recommending merchandise replenishment based on store capacities and sell through; recommending new products to positively impact sales; and maintaining store appearance in all doors in accordance with visual presentation standards.
Job Requirements:
To qualify, you’ll need a college degree in Retail Management, Business, Fashion Merchandising or a related discipline (equivalent & applicable retail experience may be substituted for a degree), coupled with at least 3 to 5 years of retail experience to include a minimum of 2 years of multi-store management. We seek a candidate with proven leadership and staff development abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
