The Sr. Applications Engineer will lead the execution of application software solutions supporting the Product Development area and its tactical initiatives to achieve both short and long-term business results. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional IT organization and business partners across the Product Development areas to develop IT and business strategic plans. We'll look to you to support our Brand and Supply Chain Global Business areas on product development applications such as DaVinci and Global Costing applications. This will include systems troubleshooting, problem resolution and analysis.
Responsibilities include:
• Deliver the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of projects, enhancements, and problem fixes while executing the Project Life Cycle methodology.
• Communicate progress and status to management on a regular basis and consult with other IT Organizations and business partners to provide technical direction, design and estimates for projects and change requests.
• Analyze business requirements and processes related to IT application systems and recommend actions to be taken in order to achieve both short- and long-term goals.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 7 years experience working with relevant enterprise applications, operating systems, platforms, domains or environments.
Minimum of three years experience working with the following technologies: C#, .NET Framework, and ASP.NET.
Visual C++, XML, MTS, SQL Server and Oracle backend are helpful to also have.
Previous experience as a Sr. Applications Engineer in the Retail and/or Apparel industry is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience to apply technical principles, theories and concepts in the field, including understanding of programming/development life cycle.
• Working knowledge of apparel product development life cycle (prefer a background in either PLM or Supply Chain applications).
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Working knowledge of process modeling.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a high paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of current and emerging IT products, services and processes is required.
