As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will assist in ensuring that our equipment, building and grounds are maintained at the highest possible level, and you will provide direction to employees in the maintenance department to support this objective. Among your accountabilities, you will prepare and manage to the departmental budget; manage outside contractors including security, janitorial and landscaping services; and ensure work orders are completed & emergency repairs are handled immediately. You will also manage facility technicians and be responsible for the overall maintenance of electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems in the facility. As a supervisor, you will coach and evaluate employees, and foster an environment of open communicate and trust among department members.
Job Requirements:
To qualify, you’ll need a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or the equivalent in related work experience, coupled with 2+ years of supervisory experience in the maintenance field. Individuals must have knowledge of welding, construction, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and HVAC. The right candidate will have demonstrated skills in coaching and developing employees to maintain a high performing team. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities are essential, as are excellent verbal & written communication skills. Solid administrative skills and proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Access are also required.
