Job Description:
Need executive and senior level gurus who have held multi-functional roles in wireless infrastructure (product management, systems or software design), as well as 2-3 years with an established executive management consulting firm. If you have worked exclusively in the wireless (not broadband, DSL, or landline) industry for the past 10+ years and have extensive expertise in IP Multimedia Subsystems and Fixed Mobile Convergence, this opportunity provides superior annual compensation exceeding $300k with nice benefits.
This client, a well-established executive technical management consulting firm, provides C-level Subject Matter Expert consulting to wireless carriers in both infrastructure systems as well as mobile content. Projects include leading client engagements in Project Management ranging from pure strategy and thought leadership to content-led engineering design/development program management to execution management, pulling together and driving cross-functional client teams to deliver new products and programs.
If you have experience in working hand-in-hand with carrier engineers and earn their trust while at the same time interface and influence senior executives within the Tier 1 carrier networks, and have experience leading technical consulting gigs using your expertise in advising senior executives in the wireless industry on bleeding edge technologies and figuring out how to allocate their strategic resources to compete in this very fast changing market, this may be an ideal opportunity for you.
Job Requirements:
For the executive level position, you MUST have a proven track record in wireless executive management consulting (for a firm larger than 15 full-time people) in both the business development side (lead presentations, negotiations, and closing consulting contracts) as well as the project management side (able to build rapport and manage relationships with clients, perform issue discovery, tracking and reporting for exceptional client interaction).
For the senior level position, you MUST be very analytical and have good technical and operational understanding of strategic planning, product development, product launch, and operational issues of cellular carriers along with project management side (able to build rapport and manage relationships with clients, perform issue discovery, tracking and reporting for exceptional client interaction).
The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years working primarily in the IMS/FMC focused areas as a Consultant for a Tier 1 executive management consulting firm (BAIN, McKinsey, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Arthur D. Little, InCode Wireless, Deloitte, etc.). Your career path also multi-functional roles working ijn the wireless industry as follows:
A) Engineering: Systems and/or Software Design or Product Management for an infrastructure vendor (radio access networks side), OR
B) Technical Marketing: Product Marketing, or Technical Sales as a Sr. Director or VP of base station infrastructure (with at least 3+ years before that working in engineering).
Requires a MSEE or equivalent technical degree with MBA plus 10+ years working in the wireless industry. Must be very analytical and have good technical and operational understanding of strategic planning, product development, product launch, and operational issues of cellular carriers. Be very personable;
Must live near major airport within continental United States or Canada - relocation offered only for candidates outside of North America at present. Company paid dental, medical, life, disability, 3 week vacation, 5 personal days, stock options, paid holidays, etc. You must be willing to travel extensively, home for weekends. MUST live within 1 hour driving distance of a major international airport and be a US citizen, US permanent resident, Canadian citizen, or current H1-B visa holder.
