Job Description:
We are currently seeking an Intermediate Water Quality Specialist who will work as part of Golder Associates Water Quality Team in Calgary, Alberta.
The successful applicant will be a member of an innovative team that provides environmental impact assessment, regulatory approval/compliance, modelling and monitoring services for a broad range of clients.

Responsibilities:
• Supervision of junior staff;
• Management of small to medium projects;
• Independent completion of technical work in areas of expertise;
• Conducting data analysis and calculations using Microsoft Excel;
• Summarizing and manipulating large datasets of water quality and other environmental information for input into selected water quality models, reports and other relevant documentation;
• Preparing written and graphical material from inclusion in study reports and presentations; and,
• Conducting literature research and preparing literature reviews.
Job Requirements:
• 5 + years of water quality assessment experience.
• Experience in environmental consulting would be an asset.
• M.Sc. in science or engineering field or B.Sc and equivalent experience.
• Strong technical skills in surface water quality analysis and modelling of water chemistry and toxicological information.
• Proven record of independent work and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Experience in water quality guidelines interpretation with strong writing and communication skills.
While not required, experience with programming in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Fortran would be preferred
