Job Description:
As a member of the senior management team, the Vice President, Asset Management will provide strong leadership and management expertise to the Geosciences, Reservoir Engineering and Services asset teams based in the Calgary office. Reporting to the General Manager this individual will work closely with international team members to implement the Companys short and long- term objectives. The Vice President, Asset Management will also work closely with the President and CEO.
Responsibilities:
Overall leadership and responsibility for the asset management and technical services group (reservoir engineers, geologists, geophysicists, and petrophysicists);
Establish guidelines and procedures for subsidiaries and Joint Operating Companies;
Key contributor to the business planning cycle and ongoing follow-up / implementation of the business plan throughout the year;
Ensure that all communication with government officials and regulatory agencies promotes a strong and healthy business relationship that is integrity based;
Reporting as required by government and securities regulatory bodies;
Management lead for technical presentations to government officials;
Periodic travel to Syria and potentially other international locations; and
Report to the Board of Directors Reserves Committee with regard to annual reserves evaluation and reporting.
Qualifications:
University degree in Engineering or Petroleum Geosciences or a related discipline.
Over twenty years of progressive experience in asset development in either reservoir engineering or geosciences, culminating to a leadership role.
A proven leader in managing an integrated team of subsurface professionals with extensive experience across all disciplines, exposure to well / production operations and experience in generating and managing budgets.
Demonstrated success in adding economic reserves, production and cash flow.
Experience in working with international Production Sharing Agreements and Joint Operating Companies is essential.
Strong executive presence with exemplary communications skills.
Ability to travel internationally as business needs dictate.
