Triangle System Analyst
This is a Full Time position located in our Calgary office in the Finance department and reports directly to the Supervisor, Production Accounting.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating, organizing, documenting, testing and issue resolution of all Triangle upgrades and/or enhancements;
Responsible for coordinating, organizing, documenting, testing and issue resolution of the PA component with respect to any other system upgrades which interface with Production Accounting such as (QByte FM, Fieldview, etc.);
Responsible for managing Government regulatory changes with regards to communicating the changes to the team as well as performing / testing any required set up changes within Triangle by the required dates;
Provide support to PA, JV & Crown Accountants with respect to their issues or errors encountered on a daily basis in Triangle and related applications;
Analyze property setup as time permits and provide recommendations;
Responsible for process improvement activities with Triangle and related applications as they relate to the production, revenue and royalty functions;
Responsible for working with the vendor with respect to issue resolution, enhancements and user group participation. This would include but not limited to:
o Maintaining an issue log, follow up and resolution within a timely manner;
o Proposing / reviewing and prioritizing application enhancements;
o Communication of the above noted items to the team;
o Attend Triangle User Group Meetings;
Liaison with the IS department as necessary;
Assist with any electronic integration of data from acquisitions into Triangle;
Responsible for organizing Triangles CBL training as well as conducting informal training sessions when necessary.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
CAPPA or equivalent;
10+ years PA experience;
Excellent understanding and knowledge of Government Rules and Regulations for the various provinces (AB, SK, BC, MB), pertaining to Production Accounting;
Extensive business and technical knowledge / experience with the current version(s) of the Triangle application;
Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and organization skills in order to interact as an effective team member;
Strong analytical skills;
Experience with performing technical testing for application upgrades, specifically Triangle and other related applications; including the development of test plans and co-ordination of user testing;
Experience with identifying potential business process improvement opportunities;
The following skills would be an asset:
o Experience / familiarity with QByte FM and Qbyte Outlook (financial accounting system);
o Experience with coordinating and leading training sessions related to the Triangle application.
