Job Description:
Golder Associates is seeking a full time Marketing Leader to support its business in the Saskatoon and Winnipeg offices. Reporting to the local Office Manager the successful candidate will work with local, regional and national management and will lead the day to day marketing efforts for the Saskatoon office including planning, promotion, client and business development, information management, research, proposals and SOQs.
The position is responsible for leading the marketing team's activities at the local level, planning and implementing major marketing initiatives; collaborating with sector, regional, and national marketing projects; working with the local marketing committee as well as some administrative duties. The position will be based out of the Saskatoon office with opportunities to travel to other regional offices for support and collaborative efforts with the regional team.
Responsibilities:
Managing the local marketing team to support the office's marketing needs;
Developing and implementing a local marketing plan including budget management and reporting systems;
Reputation management - steward of Golder's brand at the local level;
Planning and coordinating client development and relationship programs;
Media planning, including media relations coordination, and advertising;
Trade show and event management;
Supporting business planning, quarterly financial analysis, and reporting
Managing and maintaining local marketing and promotional materials;
Coordinating community involvement and awards programs, submission guidelines, and deadlines;
Planning, implementing and reporting on competitive intelligence and market research projects;
Contact management;
Participation in a proposal management system; assisting with scheduling and coordination, quality control, tracking, training, and document management.
Job Requirements:
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
Degree in business specializing in marketing or communications;
5-8 years of marketing experience, preferably in a professional services environment;
Passion for marketing strategy;
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including a strong working knowledge of Excel. Pivot table experience is an asset;
Excellent organizational skills;
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
Proactive approach to improving processes and working with a team;
Ability to influence and persuade to achieve desired outcomes; and a
Positive attitude, able to have fun at work.
