Job Description:
The GGIS Group of our Saskatoon Office is currently accepting resumes for a Junior AutoCAD Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• The preparation and drafting of multi-disciplinary technical figures and drawings such as key plans, site plans, cross sections, profiles, details, and conceptual figures for use in proposals, reports, construction, and presentations;
• Prepare borehole and drill hole logs;
• Integration of CAD, GIS, and other software into a final deliverable solution;
• Filing and archiving of drafting materials for future reference;
• Responsible for product quality control with adherence to company standards.
Job Requirements:
The applicant will have the following skills and qualifications:
• Diploma in CAD or related field;
• Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD;
• Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
• High attention to detail and very strong organization skills;
• Very strong oral and written communication skills;
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and respond to the needs of several people;
• Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure;
• Good problem solver with ability to identify alternate solutions;
• Familiarity with Photoshop and other graphics packages would be an asset
The ability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts in both CAD and other software utilization.
