We are currently searching an HR Advisor for our Client. This is an exciting new opportunity for a key member of the Human Resources team in the Calgary office. This client is one of Canada’s pre-eminent consulting firms offering engineering, environmental and project management services across Canada and worldwide
Reporting to the Vice-President, Alberta and working closely with the Director of Human Resources in Vancouver, the HR Advisor will; oversee the recruitment and new hire process, coordinate and monitor performance reviews, coordinate and administer employee surveys, manage the new employee orientation process, take a leadership role in the application and tracking processes associated with immigration submissions and participate in a variety of survey and benchmarking activities specifically for the Alberta offices.
In addition, the scope of the role will allow for participation in the design and implementation of a number of strategic corporate initiatives being developed globally to enhance compensation, benefits, rewards and recognition, professional development and training programs. Some travel to other Company offices may be required.
Ideally, your qualifications and experience will include:
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong general knowledge of human resources practices and principles in Canada
Ability to work well with all levels of management and staff
Effective professional communication skills
Discretion in handling confidential matters
Post-secondary education preferably in human resources or business administration
4+ years of related work experience
Experience with international aspects of human resources
CHRP designation or candidacy eligibility
