Total Service Manager Our Client is a recognized leader in the manufacture, sales, and service of state-of-the-art monitor and control systems for fire alarm, security, sound, nurse call, integrated systems, portable extinguishers, and sprinklers systems. SimplexGrinnell creates innovative, high quality solutions that meet customer needs into the future. We are currently looking for a Total Service Manager to join our team in Calgary. In this challenging and rewarding role the responsibilities will include supervising and overseeing the Service department business and performance by setting targets and reviewing business requirements on a daily basis. Job Responsibilities: • Manage Service staff to encourage, support and meet and exceed budget obligations. • Organize, develop and empower Service staff into a cohesive and effective team trained and motivated to grow the service business. • Maintain effective customer communications along with building solid customer relationships from initial contact through order acquisition, delivery, installation and service. • Plan yearly budgets and implement and develop strategies to meet and meet and exceed YTD performance goals and objectives. • Responsible for hiring quality individuals who possess the necessary skills, knowledge and experience required to fill the open job positions. • Ensure that effective performance measures are assigned, and that employees are motivated to achieve and exceed objectives in a professional, timely and quality manner. • Accountability for employees and office compliance with corporate safety programs. Job Qualifications: • 5 or more years of Management experience in the Fire Protection or similar industry. • Demonstrated leadership, negotiation and financial management abilities. • College diploma in Fire Protection or related industry or equivalent work experience. • Basic accounting and familiar with budgets, bidding process and P&L statements. • Knowledge of fire codes, building codes and fire protection standards.  Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.  Proven ability to mentor and motivate employees. • Excellent interpersonal and time management abilities. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
