Job Description:
Senior Production Accountant
This is a Full Time position working in our Clients Calgary office in the Finance department and reports directly to the Team Lead, Production Accounting.
Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
Gathering, analyzing and utilizing data from the field for Alberta oil and gas properties;
Accurately calculating monthly production, revenue and royalties & pipeline splits by required deadlines;
Maintenance of master files in Triangle and DOI changes in Qbyte;
A/R, Crown and Suspense reconciliations;
Handle queries and projects as assigned.
Mentor junior staff
Job Requirements:
CAPPA Certificate;
10+ years Production & Revenue Accounting experience with oil and gas properties;
Solid technical understanding of Production Accounting procedures & processes;
Excellent working knowledge of Alberta Government regulations;
Solid understanding and experience with Alberta Petroleum Registry;
Strong analytical skills;
Strong working knowledge of masterfile setup and maintenance;
Excellent communication skills with field, team members, partners, royalty owners and Government agencies;
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a deadline oriented environment;
Teamplayer with a positive attitude;
Experience with Triangle, Qbyte FM, Fieldview and Excel spreadsheets is a definite asset.
