Senior Joint Venture Accountant
Our Client has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Joint Venture Accountant. This position reports the Supervisor, GGAP and Business Processes, you will be responsible for all financial and production recording and reporting activities for assigned oil and gas properties. Duties include monthly recording of revenue and expenses, customer and partner invoicing and payment, expense review and processing, budget preparation, variance analysis, management, government and industry reporting, and facility allocations.
As the successful candidate, you will have a Bachelor of Commerce degree and preferably be enrolled in either the CMA or CGA professional accounting programs. A C.A.P.P.A. certificate is an asset but not required.
With demonstrated experience as a joint venture accountant in the oil and gas industry, you will have strong analytical skills and an ability to work and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and field staff. You will also have the ability to work independently and complete your responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner. Effective organization and computer skills and a good working knowledge of Excel are also necessary.
